About Me

How indulgent, I get to prattle on about myself.

I came to write Ravenous Decay because of an extremely vivid dream I had about zombies and zombie dogs. Instead of waking up sweating with fear, I woke up sweating with excitement (yah, that’s right, I sweat the bed). I just knew it had to be a book. The process has been long and far more arduous than I could have ever imagined. However, it has been a process of vast growth….and a little weight gain (damn sitting at the computer and my affinity for Dr. Pepper).

So, here’s the stuff that I know you are biting you nails to learn about me: I love to read. BIG surprise, huh? A writer that likes to read – shocker. My favorite author is Robert Heinlein, though I love many books by many authors in countless genres; such as, Jodi Picoult, JK Rowling and Jack O’Connell.

I have a wonderful pack of dogs.  Animals are one of the most important things in life to me. I honestly cannot imagine getting out of bed every day without their presence. I’m working very hard at becoming like Cesar Millan. I must say, I’m a pretty damn good pack leader.

Aside from my pack, I also have a kick ass family. My husband is beyond supportive and keeps insisting that Ravenous Decay will propel him into an extremely early retirement. He is just as crude and rude as I am and keeps me laughing and rolling my eyes. We’ve got a wonderful pack of kids, whom share our love for sarcasm, video games, movies and, yes, even zombies.

Lastly, and possibly most important, I have a sweet tooth that has been proven impossible to remove.

Thanks for reading.
